Kababi Mocha (banana flower)

Mocha is a purple flower of Banana. The baby bananas inside it have a esoteric taste. Yummy

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 Mocha (banana flower)
    • 1 large Potato
    • 2 tbsp Gram flour
    • 2 tbsp Cashew nut (chopped)
    • 1 tbsp Raisins
    • 1 tsp Baking powder
    • 1 tbsp Garlic (paste)
    • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
    • Oil for frying
    • 2 tbsp Onion (chopped)
    • Salt  to taste
    • 2 tsp Green chili (chopped)
    • Sugar (optional) to taste


    1. Take out  the white portion of the mocha peeling maroon petal.
    2. Take out stiff long string from the white portion.
    3. Chop and boil mocha and drain water.
    4. Boil and mash potatoes. Mix mocha together with all ingredients except gram flour, baking soda and oil.
    5. Give shape of kebab.
    6. Make a batter out of gram flour, baking soda and salt with water.
    7. Dip mocha kabab in the batter.
    8. Heat oil in a pan, put the fire low. Fry kabab one by one.
    9. Soak in tissue paper to extract extra oil.
    10. Serve hot with chutney or curd
