Veggie rice

for people who love eating rice its a must try out

a very delicious recipie and easy to cook dish

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2 cups rice
    • 2 tsp jeera
    • 2 tbsp red chilli powder
    • 2 green chillies finely choopped
    • 3 onions finely choopped
    • 2 tomatoes chopped
    • chopped cabbage
    • grated carrot 1 in number
    • 1 capsicum chopped
    • 1/4 cup green peas
    • 1 cup fresh cream
    • 1/2 cup tomato puree
    • 1 cup fresh curd without water
    • 4 tbsp lemon juice
    • 2-3 tej patta leaves
    • 1 big dalchini stick
    • 3  green elachi
    • 3-4 laung
    • 3 tbsp dhania powder
    • 2 tbsp garam masala powder
    • 2 tbsp garlic paste
    • 2 tbsp ginger paste
    • salt to taste
    • 1/4 cup oil 

    Directions

    1. First soak the rice in water about 15mins.then strain water and add lemon juice to it.keep aside
    2. in a pan add oil and add tbsp of each ginger garlic paste
    3. Add chopped onions chopped tomatoes to it.add green chillies.add salt , 1 tsp dhania powder.when it get cooks take it aside in a plate
    4. Again add oil to the pan and add chopped cabbage,chopped capsicum add salt, 2 tsp dhania powder. saute for 5 mins. then add grated carrot and green peas.cook for 3 more mins and keep it aside
    5. In another pan boil water add the spices laung, dalchini, and green elaichi's outer covering.boil water til the smell of spices comes.then strain out the stock
    6. In a pressure cooker add oil .add jeera and stir fry.add tej patta leaves,and the rice,add fresh curd and stir it.
    7. then add the water stock til it almost doubles the volume of rice..and mix wel.add red chilli powder.dhania powder,garam masala powder and salt.mix wel
    8. then add tomato puree
    9. then add fresh cream
    10. then pressure cook the rice til it gives 1 or 2 whistles
    11. take the rice out in a kadhai.then add the cooked vegetables.
    12. then add the onion tomato mixture.
    13. add 2-3 tsps of lemon juice
    14. serve hot with any curry
