Arabic Appetizer

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings

    1. 1 tin Chickpeas
    2. 2 tbsp Tahina Extract
    3. 1 tbsp Yoghurt
    4. 5-6 Chillis
    5. 2 tsp Garlic Paste
    6. Salt & Pepper to taste
    7. Olive Oil


    1. Drain the water from chickpeas.
    2. Empty the chickpeas in the blender.
    3. Add tahina extract, yoghurt, chillies & garlic paste. Blend this to a thick mixture.
    4. Then add olive oil to this mixture & blend it to a fine paste.
    5. Remove it in a serving dish.
    6. Sprinkle salt & black pepper as per your taste.
    7. Decorate with a fine line of olive oil.

    Tahina or tahini mix is roasted and pasted sesame seeds mixture. Instead of using tineed chickpeas use normal chickpeas. Soak them ovenite and boil them with little salt. Drain water, cool and use.
