Honey Chicken

its chicken for dessert

Recipe by anwesha of kolkata, IN

once i was thinking about desserts when i came across this idea of a honey chicken. this recipe is my brain-child and it is simply lip-smacking. if you want it bland then you can tone down the amount of garlic and onion and lemon juice.

Ingredients non vegetarian 1 servings

    • 10 pieces of diced chicken
    • 1/2 bottle cottage honey
    • 5 tbsp. garlic paste
    • 10 tbsp. onion paste
    • 1 packet cornflakes crushed
    • salt to taste
    • 5 tbsp. lemon juice
    • oil
    • 1/2 cup cornflour
    • 4 tsp Baking soda

    Directions

    1. Clean the chicken pieces and poke holes in them.
    2. Marinate the chicken pieces in  garlic paste, onion paste, lemon juice, cornflour, salt and baking soda, for one hour.
    3. Coat each piece with crushed cornflakes and fry them in oil until golden brown.
    4. Keep the fried chicken pieces (fritters) separately.
    5. Fry onion paste, garlic paste in a frying pan with 4 tbsp of oil.
    6. After they are fried, put the fried chicken fritters in them.
    7. Pour half a cup of water in it and bring to boil.
    8. Add salt to taste.
    9. Add the honey to the mixture.
    10. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
    11. Serve it hot with bread.

What a delicious recipe! I made it for my four kids and they simply loved it, which was a big surprise considering the fact that they hate anything which includes poultry. So thank you Anwesha, and god bless your culinary soul! We love you and my children thank you!
