Chilli Gobhi

Gobhi in chinese style!!

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 medium size Cauliflower
    • 3 tbsp maida
    • 1 bid capsicum
    • 1 big onion
    • 2 big tomatoes
    • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
    • 1/2 tsp red chilli
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper(powdered)
    • Oil for frying+ 1tsp oil
    • pinch of cumin seeds
    • salt to taste
    • water

    Directions

    1. Take cauliflower and separate the florets, if florets cut them in half, and wash them.
    2. Make a batter of maida, chilli powder, pepper, salt and water, consistency should be of pakoras batter.
    3. Heat oil for frying, put the florets in batter and fry them separately, means each floret to be put separately, fry them and keep aside.
    4. Now take onion, capsicum and tomatoes, cut them in round slices.
    5. Now take the pan, put 1 tsp oil, add cumin seeds.
    6. Add onion saute, add capsicum and saute for 2 mins, then add tomatoes and put a lid over pan and let it cook for 5 mins on medium heat.
    7. Then add fried cauliflower florets, mix well, put lid over pan and let it cook for another 5 mins.
    8. Now florets must leave oil, add tomato sauce and salt to taste.
    9. Serve Hot, garnish with fresh coriander.

    Hi Astha.. I tried this receipe twice, it turned out to be really good.. its a good snack... We can add 1tsp soya sauce for an added flavour and brownish colour...
