Vermicilli Dosa

a tasty evening snack

The batter is very thick and uneven, hence the dosas tend to be thick like "uthappam"

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 1 cup vermicilli
    • 1 cup curd
    • 1-2 tbsp of rice flour
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/2 cup finely chopped onoins
    • 1 tsp chopped green chillies
    • 1 tsp chopped coriander
    • salt to taste.


    1. Add a few drops of oil to lightly brown the vermicilli in a pan
    2. soak the roast vermicilli in curd atleast for half an hour.
    3. Add the rice flour and  water to the sufficiently softened vermicilli to make a thick batter.
    4. Add the onions, chillies, coriander and salt to the batter .
    5. On medium heat make dosas, cooking them with oil on both sides
    6. Serve hot with chutney
