Pumpkin in coconut milk

a tasty curry!!

this a very simple recipe and very tasty too...

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 250 gms red pumpkin
    • 10-12 shallots
    • 4-5 whole red chilli
    • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
    • 1 tsp dhaniya powder
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp kashiri red chilli powder
    • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1 cup coconut milk
    • curyy leaves and mustard for seasoning
    • salt to taste




    1. Cut the pumpkin into cubes.roughly chop the shallots.
    2. heat oil in a kadai and fry whole red chillies,ginger garlic paste,and the shallots.
    3. add all the masala powders one by one except the cumin powder.
    4. add the vegetable and saute in the masala and keep stirring till the vegetable gets tender and cooked.pumpkin takes just few minutes to cook.
    5. now add the coconut milk and mix well adding the cumin powder also.
    6. heat oil seperately and season with curry leaves and mustard and pour over the curry.
