Raw Mango Rice

if ur in diet,can avoid coconut.but without coconut also the mango rice is just mouth watering.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 2 Raw Mangoes
    • 3 Cups Cooked Rice
    • 1/2 coconut,grated 
    • 1 tsp Mustard
    • 1 tsp Urad dal
    • 1 tsp Chana dal
    • 2 nos. Green chilli,Medium sized,chopped
    • 2 Red chilli,broken
    • 1/2 tsp Haldi
    • 2 tsp Oil
    • 1/2 tsp Hing
    • Salt,to taste
    • 5 Curry leaves
    • Coriander,garnish 


    1. Peel the outer skin of the mango & grate it.
    2. Heat oil in a pan.Add mustard,after it splutters,add urad dal, chana dal, Red chilli,Green chilli, Curry leaves, Hing.
    3. Saute for a minute.Then add Turmeric powder,grated mango & grated coconut.The raw smell goes in minute's time.
    4. Add salt. Switch off the gas.
    5. Add this mixture to the rice. Mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves.
    6. Mango rice is ready.




    2;1 ratio is better. 2 cups mango and 1 cup coconut.If the mango is more sour,in that case can have equal ratio of coconut.If u want to avoid coconut,can add chillies.
