Pineapple Salsa

Try this sweet & spicy salsa for a change from regular salsa.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1 cup Ripen Pineapple pieces
    • 1 tsp Sugar
    • 1 tsp Black Pepper powder
    • 1 tsp Oregano powder
    • 1 tsp Red Chilli flakes
    • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
    • 3 Green Chillies (finely chopped)
    • 1/2 cup Tomato puree
    • 2 tblsp Tomato sauce
    • 2 tsp Vegetable Oil
    • 5-6 Basil leaves
    • Salt to taste

    Directions

    1. In a kadai, heat Oil on a Medium heat. Add Ginger-Garlic paste & fry for 15-20 secs. Add Green Chillies & fry for 10 secs.
    2. Add Tomato puree, mix well & keep stirring for a minute.
    3. Add Pineapple pieces, Sugar, Pepper powder, Oregano, Red chilli flakes & Tomato sauce. Mix well & keep stirring for another 2 mins.
    4. Add the Basil leaves & Salt. Mix well & remove from heat. Serve hot with Tortilla chips.

    Hi Mrs.Hariprasad, i tried this one but without Basil and Oregano powder(the same one like apple masala) it was really tasty and with a fine pine.. flavour.
