Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds ,ground spice powder, onions chopped - 1 no, chopped tomato , ginger-garlic paste -1/2 tsp(optional) and curry leaves and saute well .
When tomato begins to melt add chilli powder,turmeric powder,cumin powder,salt and saute for 2 mins.
Add garam masala powder and cleaned butterbeans and mix well.
Add coconut paste(optional),sugar and 3 cups water and pressure cook upto 2 whistle.You can also soak the butter beans overnight and cook it without pressure pan.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice and sambar,chapathis,idli and dosa.this one will give better taste if done without coconut and ginger-garlic paste.
