Pineapple Oats Payasam

pineapple pieces and oats cooked in milk with cashews and raisns

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 500 ml full cream milk
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 cup oats
    • 2 cup pineapple pieces(1 cm cubes)
    • 1 tsp green cardamom powder
    • 1 tbsp almond pieces(10 almonds soaked for an hour,peeled and chopped)
    • 10 nos crushed cashews
    • 10 no. raisins
    • 1/4 cup sugar(1 1/2 tbsp)
    • 2 tsp ghee

    Directions

    1. Heat ghee in a pan and roast cashews,almonds and raisins.
    2. Add cardamom powder and milk,water , bring it to boil.
    3. When milk boils add Oats and sugar.Keep stirring occasionally.
    4. After 3 mins add the pineapple pieces and cook for 2 mins.You can add more sugar if you want it sweeter.
    5. Serve hot in bowls with cashews on top.

    sorry, sugar must be 1/2 cup or 3 tbsp atleast.
