Black-Eye Beans Curry

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 2 cups of Black Eye Beans
    • 3-4 Onions finely chopped
    • 4 Tomatoes finely chopped
    • 1 Medium sized potato
    • 2-3 Green chilies
    • 1 tsp Red chilies
    • 1 tsp coriander powder
    • 1 tsp Garam Masala
    • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • Salt to taste
    • Coriander leaves
    • 3-4 tbsp of oil


    1. Take oil in cooker add onions and green chilies, cook till colour turns brown.
    2. Now add ginger garlic paste stir well
    3. Add tomatoes, salt, red chilies, coriander powder and garam masala.
    4. Close the cooker allow it to cook for 10 min and close the gas.
    5. Now stir the gravy well, add potato and Black-Eye Bean (socked for at least 1 hr), stir well close the cooker and cook till black-eye beans get soft.
    6. Add coriander leaves and little garam masala and serve hot with rice or chapattis
