Delicious spicy dish made of Lady's Finger

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 7-8 Lady's Finger (Okra), finely Chopped
    • Tamarind - lime size - Soak in warm water
    • 3-4 Chillies (Half of the no. of pieces equivalent to Lady's Finger), Finely Chopped
    • Ginger - Small piece (Green Grape Size) - Finely Chopped
    • 1/2 tbsp Salt
    • Curry leaves - Finely Chopped (Optional)
    • Jaggery (Optional)
    • Seasoning - Mustard, Jeera, Asafotedia
    • 3-4 tbsp Oi

    The chillies can be increased if you want it spicier.

    Directions

    1. Heat Oil - and the seasoning items.
    2. Once the mustard splutters, put the ginger, finely chopped chillies, curry leaves, and then lady's finger.
    3. Let it fry very well. Once the size of lady's finger has shrunk - add the extracted tamarind juice (thick) and salt.
    4. Let the gravy boil in simmer heat. Once its reduced to half its initial - put jaggery (little pinch) and off.
    5. It goes good with rice or dosa/idly.
    6. The contents can be wattery or thick based on your requirement - if it needs to be a bit wattery - the tamarind juice can be further poured after the thick version extracting with water.
