Fish Fry
Crispy fish - a light starter

Ingredients
non vegetarian
4 servings
500 g fish (fresh water) cleaned & cut into 8 pcs.
1 cup suji
Salt to taste
1 tsp turmeric & red chilli powder each
1 tsp chat masala
1 tsp coriander powder
1tsp black onion seeds (kalonji)
1/2 cup cornflour
Mustard oil for fyring
Directions
Marinate fish pieces in salt, tumeric, red cilli & coriander powder. Rub well & leave for 1/2 hr.
Fish will leave some water, sprinkle cornflour on top.
Spread out suji & kalonji on a plate
Wrap the fish pieces in the above spread. It will stick to the pieces and form a layer.
Heat mustard oil in a kadai till flames come out. Allow to cool removing from heat then re heat (this will remove the strong odour of the oil)
Fry fish pieces till crisp & brown
Serve with tarter sauce or mayonnaise.
