Palak Chutney (Spinach chutney)

It is a side dish

Healthy and yummy, it tastes very good with rice, dosa, idli or chapathi.

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings


    • 2 cups Palak chopped
    • 1 cup grated coconut
    • 2 green chillies
    • 2 tsp Jeera
    • 1/2 tsp. oil
    • 6 curry leaves
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • tamarind- little,
    • salt to taste. 

    Directions

    1. Take a thick bottomed Kadai, pour oil add jeera , green chillies, garlic, curry leaves fry for 2-3 minutes. 
    2. To this add palak and fry until water evaporates.
    3. In the chutney jar add coconut, palak, salt and tamarind and grind this to a fine paste.
    4. Now palak chutney is ready to serve with idli, dosa, chapathi or rice.
