1 standard bunch of spinach (as available in the market)
150-200 g paneer (cut into desirable size cubes)
1 large onion(finely chopped)
2 tomatoes(finely chopped)
7-8 pieces of garlic(finely chopped)
to taste-salt
to taste-red chilly powder
a large pinch nutmeg powder
1 heaped tsp cornflour
3 tbsp thick fresh cream
2-3 tbsp oil to cook
Directions
clean and chop the spinach and cook it without water in a cooker till one pressure.let it cool completely.
make a smooth paste along with cornflour in a mixer. keep aside.
in a kadai heat oil and cook garlic till light brown. add onion and fry till golden brown.add tomatoes. add salt, red chilly powder and nutmeg powder and cook till it leaves out oil.
add spinach mixture and let it cook till one boil stirring continuously.
add paneer cubes and let it again boil.
finally add cream and cook till one boil.
palak paneer is ready. serve with hot tandoori rotis
