makande basically is an african dish which is cooked wihout veggies. i try this recipe with veggies and indian taste

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup rajma
    • 1onion chopped
    • 2 garlic cloves- chopped
    • 1/2 cup coconut grated
    • 1 cup sweet corn
    • 1 cup vegetable stock
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 1/2 cup of vegetables(carrot, peas, capsicum, broccoli beans)
    • 1 tsp of lime juice
    • 1 tsp of green chilli chopped
    • 2 tbsp of coriander chopped
    • 1tsp mint chopped
    • 1 tsp ginger (grated)


    1. Soak the rajma overnight and then cook in salted water till tender.
    2. Drain out all the water once the rajma is tender.
    3. Put the rajma in a pan with onion , garlic, coconut, sweet corn, vegetables,salt and pepper and stir gently.
    4. Add the stock and allow  to simmer till all the water is evaporated.
    5. Garnish it with chopped coriander, mint and ginger. mix lime juice .serve as a side dish.
