Vanilla Burfi

Sweet made from Maida & Vanilla essence

This yummy & different burfi was shown in an TV programme. I liked it a lot...hope u'll too.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup Maida
    • 1 cup Sugar
    • 1 cup Ghee (clarified Butter)
    • 2-3 tblsp Khoya (Mava)
    • 2-3 drops Vanilla Essence


    1. Dry roast Maida flour for about 3-4 mins.
    2. Add half of the Ghee to the Maida & mix well until it forms a paste.
    3. In another pan, add Sugar & 2 tblsp of Water. Make 1 string consistency Sugar syrup.
    4. Add Khoya to the Sugar syrup & mix well.
    5. Add the Maida paste to the syrup & keep stirring until it starts leaving the sides of the pan. In between keep adding Ghee little by little.
    6. Spread the mixture on a greased plate. Cut into desired shape & allow to cool. Serve.
    7. Note: Can add little Elaichi powder & few fried Cashewnuts also while stirring in Sugar syrup.
