Marinate fish with salt,pepper & lemon juice. Keep aside.
Soak potato pices in salted water.
Heat oil in a pan and add butter. Fry onions to golden and reserve.
Add a drop of yellow colour to the potatoes and fry till tender.
Fry fish to golden brown.
In a cooking dish put potatoes,onion paste,ginger-garlic paste,coriander,mint leaves,1/4 of fried onions,salt,garam masala,chillies,1/4 of green peas
2 cups of water.Mix thouroughly.
Lastly add fish.
Shake the dish so that the fish is well mix with the ingredients.
Layer with 1/2 of rice,top with 1/2 of onions & 1/2 of green peas. Add the remaining rice layered with the rest of onions & green peas.
Add remaining yellow colour and cover tightly.
cook on moderate flame for 20 mins & low flame for 10 mins.
Serve hot with cucumber salad, kutcha and chilli pickles.
