Mango & Prawn Curry

For those who enjoy a little khatti(sour)flavour.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds (black)
  • 2 nos. Mango, raw green ,small, peeled & chopped
  • bunch Prawns
  • Vegetable Oil for frying
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 nos. Onion, chopped
  • 3 nos. Green Chilies, sliced
  • bunch Curry Leaf, some
  • bunch Coconut Milk
  • Salt to taste


  1. In the desired utensil,heat 3-4tbsp oil & add mustard seeds(cover & pop).
  2. Add to this onions,sliced chillies & curry leaves, fry till onions turn golden.
  3. To this add salt, chilli pwdr, haldi & saute for a minute.
  4. Then add a cup or desired amount of water & bring to boil.
  5. To this add prawns, the chopped mangos & cook(on a low flame) till done.
  6. Into this add coconut milk(keep stirring)& bring to boil.Add salt again IF REQUIED.



instead of coconut milk try adding raw coconut ground with green chillies & garnish by sauting mustard seeds in little coconut oil with cury leaves & 3- 4 whole red chilles
