Churma (churma Ladoo)

ghee fried wheat flour dumplings with sugar and nuts

Ingredients vegetarian 20 servings

    • 2 cups Mota Atta (coarse flour)
    • 3 cups powdered sugar
    • 1 tsp cardamom powder
    • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
    • 20 almonds
    • 20 cashew nuts
    • 500 g melted ghee
    • water or milk to knead


    1. In a large bowl,mix wheat flour,1 tbsp ghee and knead by adding little water and make a stiff dough.
    2. Set aside for 10 minutes.
    3. Make like dumplings and fry them in sufficient ghee till golden brown.
    4. Allow it to cool.
    5. In another pan,roast half of almonds and add them to the wheat flour dumplings.
    6. Powder them in the mixer.
    7. In a pan add 1 tbsp ghee and roast cashew nuts,chopped badam.
    8. In the grounded powder add powdered sugar and roasted nuts and nutmeg powder and cardamom powder and remaining ghee.Mix well.
    9. Churma is ready.u can serve them with dal bhati.
    10. Make 35 balls out of it.
    11. Churma Ladoo is ready.

    If u don't have mota atta u can add 1/4 cup suji to the barik atta.
