high in they taste best in desi ghee!!!!

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 1 cup Yellow Moong Dal
    • 1 Big potato
    • 1-2 green chillies
    • 1/2 inch ginger
    • 1 bunch corriander leaves  a handful, chopped

    • desi ghee or refined oil for frying

    1. Wash and soak the dal for 3-4 hours
    2. Grind the dal with very little water, so as to maintain the consistency like that of pakoras batter
    3. add green chillies and ginger while grinding.
    4. peel and cut the potatoes like chips, soak in luke warm salted water for 5-10 mins
    5. to the ground batter add salt, red chilli powder, hing and coriander leaves
    6. heat the ghee/oil in a kadahi, optimum temp is warm oil, not smoking hot, also maintain medium to low flame for frying.
    7. put the potato chips one by one in the batter, coat them properly with the batter and deep fry till light golden brown.
    8. serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.

use max 1/2 cup water, that too pour 2-3 spoons at a time, and grind and see if more is required.

Can u plz mention the amount of water to make the batter. Thanks.
