Lemon-Walnut Cookies

Lemony...buttery cookies!

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    1. 2 1/2 cups Maida flour
    2. 2 tsp Baking powder
    3. 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
    4. 1 cup finely chopped Walnuts
    5. 3/4 cup unsalted Butter
    6. 1/4 cup Sugar
    7. 2 tbsp lemon juice
    8. zest of 1 lemon, a pinch of Salt,
    9. few strands of Saffron
    10. 1 cup powdered Sugar

    Directions

    1. Cream the Butter and Sugar together untill it is light & creamy.
    2. Add the Lemon juice & Zest. Mix well.
    3. Add Walnuts & Saffron. Mix well.
    4. Shift Flour, Baking powder, Baking Soda & Salt together. Add flour mixture little by little & mixing it gently.
    5. On a greased Baking sheet, place lemon size balls of the mixture & bake at 180c for 10-12 mins. Allow to cool. When the cookies are still warm, sprinkle some powdered Sugar on top & serve.

    Hi Mrs Soujanya, I just dont know why you dont post pictures of finished recipes. There are so many other people here who are not posting any recipe picture. Posting picture of leaves or fruits is not justified. Cheers
