Kharjur-Anjur Halwa
Sweet dish made from Dry Dates & Figs

Ingredients

10 Dry Kharjura (dried Dates)
4-5 Anjura (dried Figs)
1/2 cup Sugar
2 tbsp Ghee (clarified butter)
1 cup Milk
a pinch of Cardamom powder (elaichi)
2 tsp pieces of Pista & Almond
Directions
Make powders of Khajur & Anjur seperately.
In a kadai, add Ghee. Fry Almond & pista. Remove. To this same ghee, add Khajur, Anjur powders & Sugar. Mix well on medium heat for 1-2 mins.
Reduce heat to low. Add Milk, mix well & boil stirring constantly until all the milk is dried up. Add Cardamom powder. Mix.
Add Pista & Almond pieces. Mix & serve hot, warm or cold.
