Kashmiri Chicken

Tastes good with rice or rotis..

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings

    • 1.5 Kg Chicken(Skinless)
    • 250 ml Yogurt
    • 3 Large Onions(Finely Sliced)
    • 10 Peppercorns
    • 10 Cardamoms
    • 2" Cinnamon Stick
    • 2" Ginger(Finely Chopped)
    • 2 Garlic Cloves(Finely Chopped)
    • 2 tsp Chilli Powder
    • 2 tsp Paprika
    • Salt - to taste
    • 3 tsp Ghee


    1. Heat the ghee in a pan.
    2. Add Onions, Peppercorns, Cardamoms, Cinnamon and sauthe until the onions are golden brown.
    3. Add Ginger, Garlic, Chilli Powder, Paprika, Salt and fry it for 2mins.
    4. Add the Chicken pieces and fry until browned.
    5. Gradually add Yogurt and stir it.
    6. Cover it with a lid and cook it for 30mins.




    Very Good! I tried this dish and it came out really good. I would like to recommend adding some water while cooking, so the dish is not too dry. I will be definitely making this dish again very soon. Thank you.
