Ayesh as saraya

This is a very delicious Arabian dessert which is economical and time saving.Hope it will be to your likeness.

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings

    • 6-10 toasted bread or ready made toast "rusk"( depending on the size of your dish)
    • 2 c sugar
    • 1 c water
    • 1 tbsp Orange blossom water.
    • 1/4 c slivered almonds.
    • 2 cream cans
    • 2 tbsp Slivered pistachio 


    1. You can either arrange the Toast on the dish as it is or make make crumbles out of it in the food processor ( it is up to u).
    2. In a pot caramelize the sugar until brown.
    3. Pour water and dissolve the lumps that might form.
    4. Make a thick syrup.
    5. Add Orange blossom water just before removing from heat.
    6. Pour the syrup over the toasts and allow it to absorb the syrup and cool.
    7. Sprinkle with Almond then spread the cream evenly over the soaked toasts.
    8. Decorate with Pistachio, cover with a cling and refrigerate
    9. Cut into squares or as desired and serve chilled.
