Chicken Curry With Coconut Dosa

Exotic combination of Dosa with curry

This is a used when there are a lot of guests in the house who like non veg dishes.This is a very tasty combination.These dosas can be eaten with coconut milk with sugar or scraped coconut with sugar.

Ingredients non vegetarian 8 servings

    750gms. of chicken skinned 1 onions chopped 150gms. of tomatoes chopped 1 bunch of coriander and pudina leaves 2 tbps. ginger and garlic paste 1 tsp. garam masala 5 cashew nuts 1 tsp. of coriander and jeera 5 green chillies 2 tbsp. of curds 2 tbsp. chille powder Half coconut finely scrapped oil 3tbsp. Ingredients for Dosa 250gms. of rice (soaked over night) half Coconut (finely scraped) Salt to taste oil 2tbsp


    Chicken curry
    1. Marinate the chicken with ginger and garlic paste.
    2. Add two table spoons of curds and salt to taste. Marinate and keep aside.
    3. Fry the Chopped Onions and tomatos along with all other ingredients including coconut and green chillies.
    4. When the onions become golden in colour remove it from the fire and grind the ingredients into a fine paste. Then again fry the left over onions and and when it becomes golden yellow add the marinated chicken and cover it for some time.
    5. After it cooks for some time,add the grounded masala to the chicken.
    6. Add plenty of water as much as you want. Add salt to taste. Boil till the chicken is soft.
    7. Add some Garam masala powder before removing the curry from the fire.
    1. Grind the soaked rice and coconut scraped with enough salt. Grind it into a fine paste and remove it from the grinder with plenty of water and remove it into a vessel.
    2. Keep the non stick pan with very little oil and pour the ground rice on the pan with a deep ladle in a very thin layer.
    3. Cover the pan with a lid for 2 min. Remove the lid and the dosa will rise on it's own.
    4. Fold the dosa on four layers and is ready to serve with hot chicken curry.



    i think this is the recipe of dosa and chicken curry i have been looking for so many years,i used to eat this dish at my south indian friends place in bombay,my taste buds loves it so much tht its 10 yrs now i dint get a chance to eat it again,but i can still smell the awesome combo!! i used to make the usual dosa with urad and rice, and never knew until now tht theres no urad dal at all !!!! one more thing, is this coconut dosa called as 'NEER dosa'? or is it a different recipe? thnks to remind me of my nostalgia,tht reminds me i have to mail this friend of mine in india..not done in a long time
