Methi murgh

chicken with 2 spices

a dry chicken preparation with low spices.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 kg Chicken (curry cut)
    • 250 gms yoghurt
    • 1 onion
    • 2 lemons
    • 50 gms fenugreek seeds
    • 50 gms pepper
    • 100 gms butter
    • 4 green chilli
    • salt-to taste


    1. Clean wash and pat dry the chicken.
    2. Roughly crush the fenugreek seeds and pepper. Wash and slit green chilies.
    3. Heat butter in a kadhai, add chicken pieces and mix with butter. cook for 8-10 min(cover).
    4. Add green chilies and mix gently. cook another 3-4 minuts.
    5. Whisk the curd with a balon whisk till smooth.
    6. Now add crushed spices in chicken and mix gently  and cook for 2-3 minutes.
    7. Now add curd and mix it with chicken. cook in medium heat, stirring frequently.
    8. When liquid has evaporated add salt to your taste.
    9. Remove from fire arrange on a serving dish.
    10. Garnish with springs onion and lamon wedges.
