Pumpkin ki khatti sabzi

its delicious with parantha and rotis.You can also eat it with rice and skip dal.

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings

    • ½ kg Yellow Pumpkin peeled and cut into small cubes
    • ½ tsp Red Chilly Pdr
    • ½ tsp haldi pdr
    • 1 tsp Everset mix sabzi masala 
    • 1 tsp  aamchur pdr
    • 1 large size tomato grinded to form puree
    • 2 tsp kasoori methi or fresh methi
    • a pinch of heeng
    • salt to taste 
    • 2 tsp Musturd Oil
    • ½ tsp musturd seeds
    • 1 red chiily


    1. Put pan on a gas stove on a medium flame
    2. Put Oil in it.When oil gets heated put musturd seeds and let it cracle.then add red chilly
    3. Now put the yeloow pumpkin in the pan with salt
    4. Cook it with the lid for the time being it stats to leave oil.In between mash the pumpkins so that it becomes some what like halwa.
    5. Now Add all the masala tomato puree along with aamchur pdr.
    6. Cook it for some time without lid add kasoori methi and heeng.
    7. You will find that the colour is changing and a nice pickle like smell is coming .Then remove it from heat
    8. Serve it with parathas and rotis & if you are not in a mood to eat dal then you can eat it with rice and skip dal.
