Nihari Masala

Basic masala for preparing Mutton nihari

This masala can be prepared in advance and can also be used to make any veg. or non-veg. recipes. For more quantity double the ingredients.

Ingredients


7-8 dey red chiliies

2 tbsp. fennel seeds

2 tbsp. cumin seeds

15 peppercorns

3 green cardamoms

2 black cardamoms

8-10 cloves

2-3 inch cinnamon sticks

2 bay leaves

1/4 tbsp. nutmeg powder

1 tbsp. saunth

1 blade mace

 

Directions

Dry roast them and grind when cool. Store in an ait tight container.

U can use as garam masala. I prepare aloo gobi masala, tindora masala, aloo mutter curry, butter paneer, in any gravy preparation, etc. Also can be used in rajma masala. Sprinkle on raita and kadhi too.
