Tomato and Onion Chutney

Spicy Chutney

A tangy and spicy chutney

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 3 big size tomatoes,
    • 2 onions,
    • 3-4 green chillis,
    • 1 bunch coriander leaves,
    • 3 sprigs of curry leaves,
    • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds ,
    • 1/2 cummin seeds,
    • 1 tbsp oil,
    • 1/2 garlic paste,
    • 1-1/2 tsp red chilli powder,
    • 1 tsp garam masala,
    • 1/2 turmeric powder,
    • 1/2 tsp sugar,
    • a pinch hing,
    • salt to taste

    Directions

    1. Cut tomatoes, onions, and green chillis in small pieces.
    2. Heat oil in the pan, fry mustard & cumin seeds for a minute.
    3. Then add hing, curry leaves, green chilli & onions, deep fry until onions get brownish.
    4. Add garlic paste continue frying.
    5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes get gravy.
    6. Now add red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, sugar, salt and groundnut powder
    7. Fry until the oil in the pan separates.
    8. Garnish with coriander leaves
    9. Serve with Parathas or Rice.

    How much groundnut powder to add or can this be left out?

    this groundnut pdr is not mentioned in the ingredient.now what am i supposed to do.please reply me fast as i really want to try this.thanx
