Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings


    3/4 cup(150gm)split Green Gram (soaked for 4 hours and drained) 5gm Ginger 2 flakes of garlic 2 Green chillies (chopped) 1 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp Baking soda 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder 1 small Onion (finely chopped) 2 tbsp Coriander leaves(finely chopped) 6 tbsp Vegetable oil

    Directions

    1. Grind green gram into a paste adding water gradually.
    2. Grind ginger and garlic into a paste.
    3. Mix gram paste, ginger-garlic paste and all other ingredients except oil.
    4. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in frying pan on madium high heat for about 2 minutes till oil is very hot.
    5. Stir and pour 1/4 cup batter in center of pan.
    6. Quickly place the back of a rounded ladle very lightly on batter. Using a continuous circular motion,quickly and gently spread the batter outwards from centre to make a round.
    7. Reduce heat to medium. Fry on both sides till golden brown
    8. Serve hot
