North Indian Sweet

Kalakand is a paneer based mithai that everybody loves it

Ingredients vegetarian 10 servings


    • 1/2 kg paneer
    • 1 tin condensed milk
    • 3-4 cardamom powders
    • 2 heaped tablespoon of full cream milk powder
    • 1 silver leaf
    • ½ tsp Spice

    Directions

    1. Mash paneer coarsely and add milk powder to it. Add condensed milk and mix well.
    2. Heat the mixture in a thick bottomed pan. Cook on medium heat with constant stirring till the mixture becomes thick
    3. Remove from fire and spread onto a greased plate. Sprinkle the cardamom powder.
    4. Top with silver leaf. Cool and cut into squares.
      Makes: 15-20 pieces
      Preparation time- 20 minutes

    sugar is not needed as the condensed milk is sweetened.

    in ingredients you have mentioned as half tsp spice, however you have not mentioned in directions.... when to add that ingredient..... also please help me what exactly spice means.....

    Great recipe but I think you forgot to mention the main ingredient of a dessert and that is Sugar.
