Paneer Bhurji

Very tasty

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup diced paneer cubes
    • 1 tea spoon jeera
    • 2 onion (big) finely chopped
    • 7-8 green chillies chopped
    • 1 cup of oil (for frying paneer cubes)
    • Salt to taste
    • Corriander leaves chopped

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a pan
    2. Deep fry paneer cubes
    3. Dip the fried paneer cubes in cold water and take out immediately by sqeezing the water
    4. Mash the paneer cubes into coarse by hand
    5. Heat 2 table spoon of oil in a pan
    6. Add jeera, chopped green chillies, chopped onions
    7. Fry till onion turns golden brown
    8. Add mashed paneer cubes, salt and saute for a minute
    9. Garnish with corriander leaves
    10. Serve hot with chapathis/pooris
    11. or make bread sandwich

    If finely chopped tomatoes added to nearly cooked bhurji it will taste much better.

    Recipe was very easy to make and even tasty. But bhurji means something like crushed and thick gravy it would be better if we only use grated paneer.

    instead of frying the paner , one should add the grated paneer in the ingredients . this will absorb less oil & will be healthy & tasty too .
