Sooji and badam burfi

Almost sweet

easier method using condensed milk

Ingredients vegetarian 8 servings

    • 1 cup sooji (semolina)
    • 1 cup milk powder
    • 1 cup chopped almonds
    • 1 tin sweet condensed milk
    • 250 gms butter
    • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
    • Saffron 


    1. Heat butter in a pan, braise sooji on low heat till golden brown.
    2. Remove from fire, add almonds, cardamom, saffron and milk powder, mix well.
    3. Return on the fire again,add condensed milk, and keep stirring untill it leaves the sides and dry.
    4. Pour in greased plate,and flatten with flat bottom bowl.
    5. Garnish with chopped pistas or cashewnuts.
    6. Cut into desired shape.
