Pudina Paneer

Minty Cheese Dish

Cooking the same style of paneer can be very boring. This new dish will help you use the same ingredients in completely new way and surprise your family.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 6 sprigs of Fresh Mint leaves
    • 250 gms Paneer (small cubes)
    • 1 tbsp Oil
    • 2 black Cardamom
    • 4 green Cardamoms
    • 8 Cloves
    • 7-8 peppercorns
    • 1 inch Cinnamon stick
    • 4 green chilies
    • 2 Onions (chopped)
    • 2 tbsp Poppy seeds paste (khuskhus)
    • 2 tbsp Fresh Cream
    • Salt to taste


    1. Heat oil in a pan. Add black and green cardamoms, black peppercorns, Cinnamon, green chilies and chopped onions. Saute well.
    2. Add mint sprigs and ½ cup of water. Bring it to a boil.
    3. Soak poppy seeds in warm water and grind it to fine paste
    4. Add this paste and salt to the mixture and cook for 5 minutes
    5. Take the mint sprigs out of the mixture. Add Paneer cubes and cook for another 4-5 minutes till paneer is done.
    6. Add fresh cream and serve hot.
