1 Big Eggplant
100 gms Peas
½ Coconut
½ cup Toor daal
3/4 tsp Tamarind paste
a pinch of Asafeotida
a pinch of Turmeric powder
2 Red chillies
2 tsp Coriander (Dhania) seeds
2 tsp Cumin seeds
Directions
Pressure cook toor daal and peas
separately.
Chop the eggplant into small pieces and
soak them in tamarind water for about 10 minutes
Cook the eggplant in tamarind water along with
turmeric powder, asafeotide and salt.
Grate the coconut, add red chillies, coriander seeds
and cumin seeds and blend it in a blender
Now add the peas and cook for about 3 minutes
To this add toor daal and coconut paste
and cook for 5 minutes (till it boils)
Garnish with mustard and urud daal
