Coconut fingers

You can omit egg in the recipe if you do not prefer eggs.

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings

    • 1 cup white flour
    • 3/4 tsp baking powder
    • 1 1/2 tbsps margarine
    • 1/2 cup dessicated coconut
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1 egg


    1. Sift flour and baking powder.
    2. Rub fat into it.
    3. Mix coconut and sugar, keep 3 tsps for the top and add remaining to the flour.
    4. Add egg and little milk, knead to a semi stiff dough.
    5. Cut dough into two equal pieces and roll each piece into square roti.
    6. Brush the top with beaten egg or water,and sprinkle coconut,sugar mixture evenly.
    7. Cut 1 inch broad fingers and bake in preheated oven for 7 mins till golden brown.
    8. Serve with tea.




    Bake them in medium heat.


    At what temp we should bake ??....u havent mentioned the baking oven temperature.
