Khara taza chicken masala

chicken like never tasted before.

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings

    1. 1 kg boneless chicken
    2. 1 cup onion 
    3. 1 cup of curd
    4. 1 tbsp of lime juice
    5.  half a cup tomato puree
    6. 2 tsp of pepper
    7. 1 tbsp red chili powder
    8. 2 pinches of fenugreek powder
    9. 1 pinch of garam masala
    10.  2 tbsp  vinegar for marination
    11. half cup coriander and pudhina leaves (paste)
    12. 2 tsp of corn flour
    13. 2 tbsp of coconut milk
    14. 2 tbsp finely chopped green chillies
    15. salt to taste
    16. 2 tsp of butter
    17. 1 tbsp of oil


    1. Make a mixture with coriander pudhina paste, vinegar, chilli powder, green chillies, curd, pepper, salt.
    2. Marinate the boneless chicken in the above mixture for 2 hours
    3. Heat the frying pan with butter and add garam masala and onions to it. pour this butter mixture in the marinated chicken.
    4. Immediately heat the pan pour the oil, add tomato puree, curd, fenugreek powder/corn powder and wait till it is done.
    5. Add the marinated chicken mixture to the tomato and curd and cook in sim flame. [NOTE:no water should be added]
    6. When chicken is done and the mixture is thickened, add coconut milk to it. garnish it with lime juice mixed with onion.
    7. Khara taza chicken masala is ready to serve.
    8. This dish works well with steamed rice, paratha, romali roti, chapathi.

    Seems a good recipe but wht we have to do with the onions???We heat butter and put onions,ok,but do we have to saut'e the onions,fry them brown or just mix it with butter and garam masala and pour back in marinated chicken????can u plz b more specific about the role of onions!!



    Seems tasty but is there any substitute of coconut milk
