2 cups of chana dal(cholar dal) soaked overnight.
7-8 tbsp oil
Cumin seeds, dry red chilli, haldi, sugar, salt (all 1-2 tbsp)
1½ onion (paste)
2 tsp Ginger and garlic paste
coriander leaves for garnishing.
Make a paste of soaked chana dal.
Heat oil in a kadai.
Add cumin seeds, dry red chili,sugar and stir it.
Add the dal paste and then add haldi,salt and stir it.
Take it out in a plate and let it freeze
After freezing it cut it into squareshape and fry the dhokas an oil.
Keep it aside.
Add onion paste, ginger garlic paste, haldi, red chilli powder,salt and water to make gravy.
Add the dhokas,bring it to a boil.
Garnish it with coriander leaves.
