Mutton cooked in clay pot

A recipe easy and great

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings


    • 1 kg mutton
    • 2tbsp ginger garlic paste
    • 2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1/2 kg yogurt
    • 1 big onion
    • 1/2 cup oil
    • 1 tsp roasted and grounded cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp turmeric
    • salt
    • 1 tsp garam masala powder
    • 2 tbsp flour ( gandam ka atta )
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 4 black pepper
    • 1 black cardamom
    • 2 cloves
    • 2 green cardamom
    • 1 piece dalchini

     

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a clay pot ( can also use the ordinary one ) .
    2. Fry onions till golden brown , then add all the whole spices. Saute a little, then add the meat .
    3. After 10 minutes add the yogurt and let it cook till the yogurt dries up
    4. Add some water and let it cook for sometime then add the ginger garlic paste , salt  and red chilli powder .
    5. Cook till the meat is tender  by adding some water or you may cook in a pressure cooker if you are in a hurry .
    6. Then dissolve flour in half cup water till smooth and add to the curry .
    7. Again cook for 10 minutes then add grounded cumin and garam masala, lower the heat and let it cook with the lid closed till oil comes to the surface .
    8. Can serve in a clay pot, best with naan.

    ASAK, Thanks Tasnim it is a wonderful recipe. I love the taste of Kunna but have not made it since some time now, it was a good reminder.
