Tomato chutney

can be had with rice,puri,idli,dosa

Hello this is a very easy recipe ready in a jiffy

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 8 ripe tomatoes
    • 3 tbspn oil
    • 1 tsp methi seeds
    • 2 red chillies
    • 1/2 tsp hing
    • salt to taste
    • 4 tsp chilli powder.


    1. Roast methi seeds till dark brown, grind them to powder.
    2. In a kadai, heat the oil, when it is hot , add hing & the red chillies. when the 2 ingredients are nicely fried,add the tomatoes &saute them nicely.
    3. Add salt, methi powder, & red chilly powder. saute them for 2 more minutes.
    4. Your chutney is ready. Serve it with hot rice, dosa, idli, puri.



    if you add anicely chopped onion with two or three garlic it will be tasty and good for health also!
