Rohu fish prepared with white ingredients

a good sidedish with rice

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 4 pieces of Rohu fish
    • 1 tsp haldi
    • 3 tsp white mustard paste
    • 4 tsp khuskhus paste
    • 6 tsp white til (sesame) paste
    • white oil
    • 1/2 tsp kalonjee
    • 1/2 tsp jeera whole
    • salt

    Directions

    1. Marinate fish in turmeric and salt and deep fry to light brown. Keep it aside.
    2. Heat oil, add kalonjee and jeera and let it crackle.
    3. Add mustard paste, khuskhus and Til (sesame) paste. Add salt
    4. Saute it but it should not be browned. Try to retain the natural colour of it that is white, if necessary add water and stir it continuously.
    5. Add the fish.
    6. Stir it little bit so that all fish pieces are well covered in the sauce.
    7. Garnish with green chilly.
    8. Serve with hot steamed rice
