A favorite road side snack for meat lovers. Once you tasted this, you would not opt for the vegetarian one.
Ingredients
non vegetarian 4 servings
1 lb Minced Meat
3 nos. Onion, chopped
8 nos. Green Chilies
1 lb Potato, boiled and cut into small cubes
1 tbsp Garlic, chopped
1 tbsp Ginger, chopped
2 tbsps. Red Chili Powder
2 tbsps. Cumin powder
¾ lb Tomato, chopped
2 cups Stock, chicken
3 tbsps. Vegetable Oil
2 tbsps. Spice mix for Chaat
Cilantro for garnishing
1 pack White Bread, buns
Directions
Heat 1 tbsp. of oil in a frying pan and put potato cubes 3 green chillies(chopped), salt, 1 tsp chat masala and a pinch of turmeric powder.
Fry for a couple of minutes. Remove and keep aside.
Boil the mince meat with one onion, chopped ginger garlic, salt and 1/2 glass of water till very soft and tender.
If you are using boned meat, remove bones and keep the meat aside. Preserve the stock.
In a heavy bottomed griddle, heat the remaining oil, add the remaining onions, fry for 1 minute, add tomatoes and fry till very pulpy.
Add remaining green chillies or more if desired, all the powdered spices along with the meat and go on frying and crushing to small bits (do not crush too much).
Gradually keep adding the stock when a little dry, add the fried potatoes mix very well.
Garnish with lots of chopped onions and cilantro.
Prepare Pavs by shallow frying the bread slices. Sandwith the bhaji and heat the whole sandwich in the same pan.
