Using mava and milk powder

Soft and yumy a different and easy method

Ingredients vegetarian 10 servings


    • 1 cup dry milk powder
    • 1 cup white flour
    • 250 grams mava (khoya)
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 3 cups water
    • 2 3 cardamoms
    • 1/2 kg pure ghee

    Directions

    1. Add water, sugar and cardamoms in a vessel to make syrup
    2. In a bowl add mava, milk powder, flour, and baking powder and rub with hands
    3. Add 1 tbsp ghee into and knead it like dough using beated egg
    4. Dough should be not to hard nor to soft
    5. Make small balls
    6. Heat ghee in a karahi and fry balls at low flame til golden brown drain ghee and pour in sugar syrup
    7. Bring it to a boil and then cool it at room temp
    8. yumy gulab jamun are ready to eat

    walikum salam i think ur dhough was not well kneaded or u fry them at high flam so it was hard in the core. Boil in sugar syrup at low flam.

    hi shakeela, y ur gulaab jamun r dry, i think u didnot follow the recipe.

    as salam aleykum, the gulab jamun are dry in the core. i.e. the syrup doesn't reach the core and feels like the seed of a berry. please guide me
