Ice cold milk drink with vermicelli and ice-cream

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 2 1/2 cups (575ml) milk, cold
    • 6 tbsp. rose syrup,
    • 3 tsp tulsi seeds(sabja beej), soaked-15 mins.,
    • 4 tbsp sugar,
    • 3 scoops vanilla ice-cream.
    • 1 1/2 heaped tbsp. cornflour,
    • 2 cups(425ml) water,
    • 1 1/4 cups(275ml) ice water.


    1. Mix together cornflour and water and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until it begins to look transparent.
    2. place the mixture into a colander, place it over the pan containing ice water.
    3. Now with the back of wooden spoon press the mixture through.The pieces will fall into the ice water and solidify.Keep aside for 30 mins., then strain.
    4. Heat milk and sugar and chill.
    5. Place 2 tbsp. of tulsi seeds, 2 tbsp. cornflour falooda, in the bottom of each glass.
    6. Then add rose syrup and crushed ice.
    7. Pour in the cold milk. Place a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top, serve immediately.
