Pumpkin Chakka

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 250 gms pumpkin (cut into slim long pieces )
    • 1tsp kalonji
    • 1 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp ajwain ½ a cup  sprouted red gram seed
    • ½ tsp asafoetida
    • 2 tsp ginger paste
    • 2 tbsp. Oil
    • 4.pieces green chili
    • 2 tbsp coriander leaf (chopped)
    • salt to taste
    • ½ cup milk

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a pan add  slited green chili, kalonji , ajwain  and asafetida.
    2. Add pumpkin and sauté.
    3. Add sprouted gram, mix well with pumpkin.
    4. Add turmeric powder and salt. Cover the pan.
    5. Add ginger paste and mix well with pumpkin.
    6. Let it cook till vegetable turn soft but firm.
    7. Add milk and mix well.
    8. Add chopped coriander leaf from the top.
    9. Serve hot with chapatti
