Its really different from all rice recipes & very tasty & spicy
Ingredients
vegetarian 2 servings
1 cup Besan (Gram flour)
2 cup Basmati Rice (Boiled)
1 pinch baking powder
1 pinch red chilly powder
1 pinch turmeric powder
2 chopped green chillies
2 tsp curd
1/2 tsp carom
cumin seeds
muster seeds
garlic-ginger paste
bay leaves
curry leaves
coriander leaves
cooking oil
2 cloves
4-5 black pepper
cashew & raisin (for garnish)
salt to taste
Directions
In one container take besan, add cumin seeds, carom, baking powder, cooking oil, curd, salt, chilly & turmeric powder in to it & make a thick dough (if needed add little amount of water )
Divide the dough in to 3-4 pieces.
Roll every piece & cut them in to small capsule like pieces. (these are the Gatte)
Now add these gatte in to the boiled water & allow them to boil up to 10-12min (when gatte boiled properly they will appear on a surface of water)remove the water from boiled gatte & keep then aside.
Put a pan (khadhai) on a medium heating gas/heater.
When it is sufficiently hot add 2 tsp oil in it.
Put cumin, mustard seeds, curry leaves, black pepper, cloves in it & let it splutter. Add green chillies, bay leaves, ginger-garlic paste.
Now add gatte & fry a little longer heat about 4-5min.
Finally put rice & add 1 tsp butter & salt to taste in it.
Cover the lid for 3-4min.
Once done remove the pan from heat & garnish it with coriander leaves,cashews & raisins. Serve hot.
