Steam Chicken

ideal for those who avoid oily food. an easy chat pati recipe

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 chicken 1.5kg (preferably leg n thigh pieces)
    • 3 tbs curd
    • 4-5 tsp crushed red chilli
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
    • 1/2 tsp corriander powder
    • 2 tsp ginger/garlic/greenchilli paste
    • 2 tsp lemon juice
    • 1tsp white vinegar
    • salt as per taste
    • 1/2 cup chopped corriander(for garnishing)


    1. Put slash in chicken pieces with a sharp knife and marinate in above given ingredients overnight in refrigerator 
    2. Take a non stick pan and pour chicken in it
    3. Put chicken on low heat on stove for atleast 20 minutes.
    4. Turn all the chicken pieces to other side and let it cook for another 20 minutes
    5. let the water get dried completely
    6. Take it out in a serving dish and sprinkle corriander on top
    7. Serve with home made roti or parathas

    What water the Chef is talking about in Direction # 5 ? There is no mention of making steam in any utencil !!!
