Baby Potato Sabji

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 20 Baby Potatoes
    • 5 Dry Red chillies 
    • 3 Green Cardamom
    • 4 Cloves
    • 3 tblsp Vegetable Oil 
    • 2 tsp Cumin seeds (jeera)
    • 1 tsp Coriander Seeds
    • 1 tsp Fennel seeds (Saunf)
    • 1/2 tsp Chat masala
    • 1/2 tsp Sugar 
    • 1 tblsp Lemon juice
    • Salt to taste 

    Directions

    1. Wash & cut the Potatoes into halves or quarters.
    2. In a kadai, heat Oil. Add the Potatoes with little Salt. Mix well, cover & cook on medium heat untill they are done.
    3. In another pan, dry roast Cumin, Coriander seeds, Fennel seeds, Red chillies, Green Cardamom & Cloves. Keep aside to cool. Make a coarse powder.
    4. Once the Potatoes are done, add in the ground powder generously all over the potatoes. Mix well, cover & cook for 5 mins on a medium heat.
    5. Turn off the heat & add in the Lemon juice & Chat masala. Mix well, cover & keep aside for 10 mins. Serve hot with Chapaties or Plain rice.
